“All the things he said, Running through my head” -Tatu

3 12 2009

As much as I hate to say it, I liked the movie a lot more than the book. Just to be honest.

I’m not usually the kind of person who chooses a movie over a book, but I feel that the movie was more human-friendly. The book leaves a lot to interpretation, and different people will see it different ways. I feel that the book was kind of ruined for me because of the annotations. Though some things did help, a lot of them were over analyzed. Wonderland is a place for the mind to wander, not for facts and reality. For me, the entire point of wonderland was to get away from reality.

The movie does this a little more effectively, in my opinion. And I love that, to be honest, because there are no facts behind it. The movie does leave a lot out, but if there were to be another movie [[there will be one(: but I don’t know how much of the book will be included in it, so I still must make this point]] with more of the book in it, then it would be absolutely perfect. It’s a wonderful story, but the movie still gets it across in a more pleasing way. And it’s more age friendly as well, the book wouldn’t be too good for children, in my own opinion.

But, I’m curious. Did you feel the book, the annotated version, or the Disney movie was best? I like to hear opinions, sue me.
